Screen Recording provides you damage control and increased accountability of your personnel. You can optimize common business processes by observing how critical tasks get done.

Memolith's whole purpose is to record screen activity. It uses a kernel-mode video driver which results in the fastest and smallest known recording.

The framerate of the recording can be adjusted from a snapshot now and the to as much as you ever need. 2 fps is the default and in most installations this is the value people are using.

Activity Recording

When recording automatic bookmarks are added and the recordings can be grouped by the applications or can be shown as time line.

Live Monitoring

You won't have to wait until the recording is saved and uploaded on the server. Every licensed workstation can be monitored in real time

Recordings Playback

Stand alone or in-browser Playback

A fully featured player is provided as a java applet for in-browser playback when your are watching recordings from the server. Or you can use the stand alone player for the times when you want to save the recordings locally or you are sending them to someone else for review.

You can easily adjust the Speed, Zoom in or out and Jump anywhere in time. Everything comes very handy considering that you'll have to review very long periods of time.

Impressive compression algorithm

The proprietary compression algorithm is specially optimized for recording PC screens and user activity. The recording files take about half of the space required by other screen recorders.

A tipical recording (full motion) will have about 1MB / minute when recorded on hard drive. When the workstation is idle the recorded file will be even smaller.

Audit

To prevent abuses, all viewing actions are logged and displayed on the audit screen. In the audit screen the supervisor login name and the performed action are displayed together with the viewed stream name, and the start and end time of the viewed stream.

Automatic Storage Management for both Server and Desktop

A great deal of flexibility is provided when talking about storage management.

Hard disk space is recycled according with your policies. Is up to you to decide that you want to remove the recordings after a given period of time or you want to remove the old recordings only when the storage area is full.

Since you may share the storage space with other applications you can decide

• how much space you want to use

• what is the minimum amount of space left on the hard drive before recycling

• how much storage space should be reserved for Memolith Screen Recorder.

The the same storage overflow countermeasures can be applied to the workstations whose screen is going to be recorded.

Automatic upload of screen recordings

As soon as a recorded file is finished it is uploaded on the server. The size for a finished recording file can also be set from a centralized location. This way you can fine tune the balance between fast update intervals and network load.

Even when the workstations are removed from the network they will upload all recordings next time when they are back on line.

Memolith Server will detect missing files in the stream an will mark the missing period.

User Bookmarks

When recordings are reviewed, bookmarks can be added for an easy recall. The bookmarking system is very versatile. You can have more than one bookmarks for the same sequence.

Call Recorder Integration

For the customers that need an integrated solution, Memolith screen recorder can be integrated with the call recording applications. This way you'll have a complete image of your company and services quality.

CallReplay is already integrated, other call recorders will be integrated soon or on request.

Centralized Management

The whole system is installed on the server. The server console can be accessed from any browser from anywhere in the network.

The desktops are also managed from the server, using the same web GUI

Export of video segments + free Player

Any continuous segment can be extracted from the stream and exported as files. All bookmarks, either computer or user generated can be exported as video files.

A free player is provided that can be distributed with the video files.

Flexible Trial

Download a fully-featured, free evaluation setup with a friendly configuration wizard.

You can start evaluating the solution based on a trial license, then when you decide that this solution fits you just purchase the new license and upload the license file on server. No reinstallation needed. If you later decide that you need to add new workstations to the recording pool, just purchase the new licenses and upload them on the server.

The licenses are not bound to a workstation and can be reassigned to a new workstation if such a necessity occurs.

Easy Installation

Memolith Screen Recorder has a fully automated setup wizard which does all the hard work for you: it installs a web server, an open-source SQL database (PostgreSQL), Java and automatically creates or upgrades the database schema. All you need to do is click Next, Next, ..., Done. Using Postgres lowers the cost and enables you to use your favorite reporting application to generate custom reports.
